About ST
Self Titled is a casual-friendly raiding guild. Prior to the release of The Burning Crusade, we had Blackwing Lair on a three-hour farm, and were preparing to advance into AQ40. Due to the announcement of a release date for TBC, our raiding game fell off, as did many guilds, and we were never able to get into AQ40 to any depth.
Pre-nerf we were 5/5 6/9 in tier 6 raiding, on a two night a week raid schedule.
Recruitment Process
Recruits are just that, recruits. New raiding members will go through an evaluation process in a raid setting, and be evaluated on preparedness, attentiveness, and attitude during raids. ST is a guild interested in progression, and we are recruiting with that in mind. If you are not prepared to pay repair bills, this may not be the place for you.
- Raid Preperation - Read up on the fights we will be doing, and understand the fight in general as well as your classes role in it. Farm for consumables, gold to purchase consumables, or mats to have someone create consumables. Bring what you can, and bring some to share. We do not require consumables, but we also aren't going to tolerate the person that goes through 15 mana pots a night without ever bringing anything to contribute. Gear yourself for what we are doing. Greens are generally unacceptable in a 25 man setting, unless it's specific gear, like stam or resist. You should be running 5-mans/questing for the best blues available for your class/role, not waiting on epics to drop and fill out your slots.
- Attentiveness - We expect people to pay attention during raids. While we understand that people have emergencies, children/pets, and the occasional fire to deal with, constant afks will not be tolerated. Having to repeat an entire fight explanation does nothing but waste the time of your fellow raiders. If you do need to afk, inform the raid leader immediatly, and let them know how long you will be stepping away. If we ready check and you are afk and we don't already know about it, there is a problem.
- Attitude - Raid progression is a process. It requires everyone to be on the same page to learn encounters, everyone to be prepared for the fights, and people to be able to hang tough when things aren't going well. There will be nights when no bosses die, and you have nothing to show but repair bills. Welcome to raiding! On these nights, can you hold back your frustrations at constant wipes, or are you going to lose interest within the first hour? Can you handle a night of no drops, re-clears of trash, and slow progress, or are you going to be complaining about repair bills? It's a tough life. Can you handle it?
Recruits will earn DKP/Attendance in our system begining the first time they raid, and will be eligible to pick up loot based on our policies. The officers will decide a recruits raid status (core/alt/non-raider) after at least one night of raiding with the recruit.
